My name is Raymond Harris, and I am essentially a sole proprietor. Leslie Stewart is my accounting manager and technology director. Rhonda Nager is a colleague of mine that directs all of my audit work. I have two outsourced bookkeepers that handle accounting work for us on a contract basis, and I have my Dad, G. Ray Harris to serve as my semi-retired partner and legal eagle. My Dad is both a CPA and an attorney, so I enjoy a business insight that grows from each profession. My own experience is mostly tax, and mostly working in the "Big Five," where I got rid of clients' pain just once a year. After ten years (accountants can be slow on the uptake) I noticed that most small businesses have some kind of pain I could help with year-round, but not at Big-Five billing rates. So I have been on my own for six years, with no regrets. I firmly believe my marriage wouldn't have survived another six years in the Big Five World - outside interests such as a family are bad for careers. My children know me, and I want to help you with the same goal. Working smarter, not just harder, is the key to enjoying life and growing your business at the same time.
